Test before you buy

Frequently asked questions

Contact support
When will the inbound route optimisation be finished?

Inbound route optimisation is in progress; once complete it is expected to be CN2 GIA for China Telecom, 9929 for China Unicom and CMIN2 for China Mobile. We cannot give a date yet, so please decide based on the current routes. You can check the current route of your server at any time with mtr or traceroute from mainland China, or with the Looking Glass.

Can I test the network before buying?

Yes. The Looking Glass runs ping, mtr and traceroute from Los Angeles to your IP address. You can also try a real server: your first order in each product line has a 7-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply).

Does changing the IP address change the route?

No. A new address from an IP change currently has the same routes as your present address. Changing the IP fixes an address that cannot be reached from mainland China; it does not make the route better or worse.

How much does yearly billing cost?

Yearly billing costs 10 times the monthly price, for example LA 512M $30 per year. You can switch an existing monthly server to yearly at any time on its page in the client area; the renewal date stays the same.

What happens when the traffic runs out?

By default the port is limited to 1 Mbps at no extra charge until the allowance resets, then your plan's port speed comes back automatically. Optional auto purchase adds 1 TB each time for $10, paid from your account credit, and never creates a debt. Incoming and outgoing traffic count together; the allowance resets once a month on your server's own monthly cycle, also on yearly plans.

Is UDP supported?

Yes. UDP works in both directions on every Los Angeles server.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. The four LA plans can change among themselves in the client area (Plan section). An upgrade needs no reinstall and keeps your data: you pay the difference for the rest of the current period. A downgrade reinstalls the server and wipes its data; the difference goes to your account credit.

Can I get a refund?

Your first order in each product line has a 7-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply, see the Refund and Billing Policy). Refunds go to your account credit in full, or back to your payment method with the payment processing fee (at most 5%) taken off.
